Pirates farm report for June 16, 2023: Liover Peguero collects 3 hits in Altoona victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 29-36) was tripped up by Iowa (Cubs), 2-1. 2B Nick Gonzales (.260) went 2 for 3 with a double, triple, walk and run scored. 3B Jared Triolo (.280) went 3 for 4 with a double. C Endy Rodriguez (.241) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. RF Henry Davis went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. LHP Cam Alldred (2-1, 3.46) started and went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, including a homer, and two walks. He fanned four. RHP Colin Selby (3.86) and RHP John O’Reilly (6.55) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 31-28) handled Somerset (Yankees), 6-2. CF Matt Fraizer (.228) went 2 for 3 with a homer, his fifth, and three RBIs. 2B Liover Peguero (.274) went 3 for 5 with a double and a run scored. LF Matt Gorski (.260) went 1 for 5 with a homer, his ninth. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.250) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Sean Sullivan (2.87) started and worked 3.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits, including a homer, and two walks. LHP Nick Dombkowski (2-2, 4.64) came on and pitched 4.2 innings, allowing one run on two hits, including a homer, with one walk and three strikeouts, to earn the win. RHP Juan Monaya (2.39) worked a scoreless ninth.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 33-26) gave up three runs in the eighth and one in the ninth to lose 7-6 to Greenville (Red Sox). RHP Po-Yu Chen (4.71) started and allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings with eight strikeouts. RHP Santiago Florez (6.33) was tagged for three runs on four hits in the eighth. RHP Dante Mendoza (3-2, 3.54) gave up an unerned run on two hits in the ninth to take the loss. CF Jase Bowen (.240) went 4 for 5 with a three-run homer, his 12th. 2B Mike Jarvis (.229) went 2 for 5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. LF Tres Gonzalez (.244) went 2 for 5.

RHP Alessandro Ercolani (2-4) started and threw five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks. LHP Geronimo Franzua (0.00) and RHP Brandan Bidois (1.80) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
