He struck out six. RHP Cody Bolton (2.88) pitched two scoreless innings of relief. RF Henry Davis (.286) went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. 1B Miguel Andujar (.358) went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Dh Cal Mitchell (.273) went 1 for 4 with an RBI.

LHP Anthony Solometo (0-1, 3.60), making his Double-A debut, started and gave up four runs, two earned, on six hits, inlcuding a homer, and a walk in five innings. He fanned seven. RF Matt Fraizer (.236) went 2 for 2 with a double, two walks and a run scored. LF Matt Gorski (.260) went 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. The rest of the Curve lineup went a combined 0 for 23. 1B Mason Martin (.199) was 0 for 4 with three strikeouts.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 33-27) was throttled by Greenville (Red Sox), 8-4. LHP Mitchell Miller (3-3, 6.75) started and was tagged for five runs on four hits and two walks in 1.1 innings. RHP Valentin Linarez (5.67) threw two scoreless innings of relief. RF Tres Gonzalez (.260) went 3 for 4 with a double, a walk and a run scored. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.315) went 1 for 5 with a triple and two RBIs. C Eli Wilson (.236) went 2 for 4. CF Sammy Siani (.224) went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored.

RHP Elijah Birdsong (2.31) allowed two hits in two innings and RHP Ryan Harbin gave up two hits and two walks with five strikeouts in two innings to pick up his first save. RF Shalin Polanco (.257) went 3 for 3 with a double and a home run, his 11th. C Geovanny Planchart (.238) went 1 for 3 with a two-run homer, his second.
