Pirates farm report for June 19, 2025: Carlson Reed throws 5 no-hit innings for Greensboro

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 42-29) split a pair of games with Columbus (Guardians).

In the first game, the completion of a game that was suspended after three innings Wednesday, Indianapolis lost, 8-7. RHP Eddy Yean (4-3, 2.97) gave up a run on four hits in 1⅔ innings to take the loss. RHP Dauri Moreta (2.70) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit. 3B Alika Williams (.248) went 3 for 5 with his second home run.

In the second game, an 8-6 Indianapolis win, C Eli Wilson went 1 for 4 with a three-run homer, his first. 3B Malcom Nunez (.320) went 1 for 2 with a double, walk, run scored and three RBIs. CF Matt Fraizer (.279) went 3 for 4 with an RBI. SS Liover Peguero (.247) went 2 for 3 with a walk, double, two runs scored and his seventh stolen base. LF Ronny Simon (.323) went 2 for 5. RHP Drake Fellows (5.40) started and was touched up for six runs on six hits, including two homers. RHP Peter Strzelecki (2-2, 9.87), RHP Cam Sanders (0.00) and RHP Yohan Ramirez (3.86) combined for 4⅔ innings of scoreless relief.

Next: Friday at Columbus (Guardians), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 29-35) and Richmond (Giants) got in just two innings of the first game of a scheduled doubleheader before the rain came. Richmond led 2-1 when the game was suspended. CF Mitch Jebb (.273) singled and scored a run. RHP Jarod Bayless (5.33) allowed two runs on two hits in two innings. He struck out four. The game will be completed Friday before a regularly scheduled game at 6 p.m.. The second game of Thursday’s scheduled doubleheader was canceled.

Next: Friday vs. Richmond (Giants), completion of suspended game, 5 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 45-20) scored in the top of the ninth to beat Greenville (Red Sox), 3-2. 2B Keiner Delgado went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, including the game-winning run-scoring double. C Omar Alfonzo (.262) went 4 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored. 3B Javier Rivas (.286) went 2 for 4 with his 13th home run. SS Konnor Griffin (.390) went 2 for 5. He has six multi-hit games in nine starts with Greensboro. RHP Carlson Reed (2.19) started and pitched five no-hit innings, walking four and striking out four. RHP Landon Tomkins (2.17) gave up two runs on two hits and a walk without recording an out. RHP Ryan Harbin (2.37) pitched 2⅔ scoreless innings and RHP Brandan Bidois (2-0, 0.86) worked 1⅓ scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Next: Friday at Greenville (Red Sox), 6:45 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 30-36) scored twice in the bottom of the 11th to beat Tampa (Yankees), 6-5. RF Ian Farrow (.214) went 2 for 5 with the walk-off two-run homer. DH Yordany De Los Santos (.244) went 3 for 5 with a run scored and RBI. 1B Ethan Lege (.220) went 1 for 4 with a walk and two runs scored. CF Ji Hwan Bae (.000) on a minor league rehab assignment, went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts. RHP Carlos Castillo (5.13) started and went four innings, giving up two runs on three hits with three walks and two strikeouts. RHP Jose Garces (3.68) pitched two no-hit innings. RHP Jake Shirk (4-3, 4.81) gave up two unearned runs on two hits with three strikeouts to earn the win.
