Pirates farm report for June 22, 2025: Bubba Chandler allows 6 runs in Indians loss
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 42-32) allowed a six-run inning and lost to Columbus (Guardians), 8-6. DH Ronny Simon (.308) led of with a home run. 1B Nick Solak (.365) was 3 for 3 with two walks and a run scored. RF Jack Suwinski (.259) was 1 for 3 with a double, two walks and two RBIs. 2B Nick Yorke (.272) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. SS Alika Williams (.253) had an RBI double. CF Billy Cook (.269) doubled. C Brett Sullivan (.228) was 2 for 4 with a double and RBI. RHP Bubba Chandler (2-2, 3.41) took the loss after allowing six runs on five hits with two walks and a strikeout in 2 2/3 innings. RHP Dauri Moreta (2.55) tossed a clean inning of relief with two strikeouts.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 30-38) dropped a 2-1 decision to Richmond (Giants). 1B Nick Cimillo (.221) had an RBI double — his 11th of the season — in the ninth inning for the Curve’s only run. CF Mitch Jebb (.270) and LF Tres Gonzalez (.246) also had hits. 2B Termarr Johnson (.249) was 0 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (5-2) tossed three innings to start the game and took the loss, allowing one run on two hits with a walk and five strikeouts. RHP Wilkin Ramos (1.87) tossed two no-hit innings of relief, with one walk and three strikeouts.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 47-21) edged Greenville (Red Sox), 6-4, in 10 innings. The Grasshoppers scored four times in the top of the 10th. In the 10th, 1B Justin Miknis (.174) had an RBI single, PR/CF P.J. Hilson (.241) stole home, and 3B/1B Duce Gourson (.261) tripled in a run and later scored on a passed ball. Miknis was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. C Omar Alfonzo (.261) hit a solo homer. CF/SS Konnor Griffin (.354) was 1 for 5. 2B Keiner Delgado (.257) was 2 for 4. RHP Khristian Curtis (5.54) started and allowed two runs on three hits with five strikeouts in three innings. RHP Jack Carey (5-0, 3.97) picked up the win after allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits with a walk in 1 1/3 innings.

C Luke Scherrer (.143) had an RBI single. 1B Derek Berg (.221) doubled. CF Ji Hwan Bae (.250), on a rehab assignment, was 1 for 4 with a run scored. 2B Wyatt Sanford (.254) was 3 for 3 with two runs scored. RHP Matt Ager (5.30) allowed one unearned run on no hits with four strikeouts in three innings. RHP Jake Shirk (4.67) earned his sixth save with three outs in the ninth inning, including a strikeout.
