Pirates farm report for June 27, 2021: Nick Gonzales homers for 2nd straight game for Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 25-22) lost to Louisville (Reds), 2-1 after the Bats scored twice in the bottom of the ninth. LF Hunter Owen (.190) hit his sixth home run for the Indians. SS Cole Tucker (.213) and 3B Kevin Kramer (.200) each were 0 for 4. RHP Beau Sulser (3-2, 3.86) allowed four hits and two walks with two strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision. RHP Nick Mears (1-2, 7.43) allowed three hits in two runs in the ninth inning and was dealt the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 27-20) dropped an 11-2 decision to Harrisburg (Nationals). 1B Mason Martin (.253) had an RBI single, and C Jason Delay (.229) had an RBI double. SS Oneil Cruz (.290) was 1 for 4. RHP Noe Toribio (1-2, 5.35) lasted 3 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on six hits with two strikeouts and took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High A, 28-20) defeated Greenville (Red Sox), 9-5. 2B Nick Gonzales (.300) hit his fourth home run of the season and second in two days since returning from a hand injury. LF Chase Murray (.346) was 3 for 4 with an RBI, RF Fabricio Macias (.333) homered and 3B Francisco Acuna (.160) had two hits and two RBIs. RHP J.C. Flowers (2-1, 1.80) allowed one earned run on four hits with two strikeouts over five innings to earn the win.

BRADENTON (Low A, 32-16) rolled to an 8-1 win over Jupiter (Marlins). DH Alexander Mojica (.204) was 2 for 4 with three RBIs. 1B Ernny Ordonez (.271) hit a two-run double. RF Sammy Siani (.226) and SS Maikol Escotto (.302) each had two hits. 2B Norkis Marcos (.193) had a two-run single. RHP Domingo Gonzalez (2-3, 5.72) tossed five innings of relief, allowing one run on one hit with seven strikeouts to earn the win. LHP Jared Jones (1-0, 2.41) got the start, allowing two hits with 11 strikeouts over four innings.
