GREENSBORO (High-A, 37-31) dropped a 7-2 decision to Hickory (Rangers). LF Tres Gonzalez (.268) was 2 for 5 with a double and RBI. SS Mike Jarvis (.254), 3B Jackson Glenn (.322), CF Jase Bowen (.255) and DH Ernny Ordonez (.216) also had hits. RF Sammy Siani (.222) knocked in a run. RHP J.P. Massey (1-1, 4.82), who on Monday was selected to play in the MLB Futures Game on All-Star Saturday, took the loss after allowing five runs on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
