Pirates farm report for June 27, 2025: 5 pitchers throw 3-hit shutout for Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 44-34) used five pitchers to throw a three-hit shutout in a 2-0 victory over Omaha (Royals). RHP Sean Sullivan (4.22) went the first three, allowing one hit. RHP Eddy Yean (2.94) followed with two one-hit innings to earn the win. RHP Kyle Nicolas (3.33) threw two no-hit innings, RHP Tanner Rainey (3.86) pitched a scoreless eighth and RHP Yohan Ramirez (3.49) worked a perfect ninth for his sixth save. C Shawn Ross (.270) went 1 for 2 with his second homer. 2B Nick Solak (.376) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. DH Ronny Simon (.314) went 2 for 4 with his 13th stolen base and a run scored. The rest of the lineup went 0 for 18 with seven strikeouts.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 33-39) gave up a run in the bottom of the 10th to lost 4-3 to Chesapeake (Orioles). 1B Nick Cimillo (.223) went 1 for 4 with a game-tying home run, his fifth, in the top of the ninth. LF Mike Jarvis (.250) went 1 for 5 with an RBI. C Wyatt Hendrie (.164) went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. CF Mitch Jebb (.263) went 1 for 4 with a triple. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (4.19) started and went five innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (2.95) and RHP Valentin Linarez (4.20) followed with two scoreless innings apiece. RHP Wilkin Ramos (2-2, 1.80) took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 50-22) split a doubleheader with Winston-Salem (White Sox).
In the first game, a 3-2 Grasshoppers loss, SS Konnor Griffin (.351) went 2 for 3 with his third homer and two runs scored. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.307) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. LF Shalin Polanco (.219) went 1 for 3 with a double. RHP Hung-Leng Chang (3-3, 6.02) started and allowed three runs on three hits, including a homer, with five strikeouts in 4⅓ innings. RHP Carlos Jimenez (4.91), LHP Inmer Lobo (0.00) and RHP Landon Tomkins (1.99) combined to throw 2⅔ scoreless innings.
In the second game, a 4-0 Greensboro win, three pitchers combined on a three-hitter. RHP Peyton Stumbo (0.00) started and threw 3⅔ innings, allowing one hit and striking out four. RHP Jarod Bayless (1-0, 3.24) pitched 2⅓ no-hit innings with four strikeouts to earn the win. RHP Jack Carey (3.86) pitched a scoreless seventh. 3B Javier Rivas (.284) went 1 for 2 with a three-run homer, his 15th. RF Will Taylor (.231) went 1 for 3 with a run scored. C Geovanny Planchart (.147) went 1 for 1 with two walks and a run scored.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 35-38) split a pair of games with Dunedin (Blue Jays).
In the first game, the completion of a game suspended in the first inning Thursday, Bradenton lost 3-2. RHP Colin Holderman (0-1, 9.00), beginning a rehab assignment from a thumb injury, allowed a solo home run in one inning to take the loss. He struck out three. SS Yordany De Los Santos (.245) went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and his 22nd stolen base. CF Edward Florentino (.125) went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. RHP Brennan Malone (6.05) pitched two scoreless innings.
In the second game, a 5-0 Marauders win, three pitchers threw a five-hitter. LHP Victor Cabreja (6-1, 2.97) started and went five innings, allowing four hits and two walks with three strikeouts. RHP Jose Garces (3.66) pitched a no-hit sixth and RHP Noah Takacs (3.34) worked a scoreless seventh.
