Pirates farm report for June 29, 2023: Vinny Capra's 4 RBIs helps Indy top Louisville
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 34-42) edged Louisville (Reds), 9-8. 3B Vinny Capra (.237) was 3 for 4 with four RBIs, including a three-run home run. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.242) hit a two-run homer, his ninth of the season. SS Alika Williams (.250) was 2 for 4 with a solo homer and two runs scored. C Endy Rodriguez (.260) was 3 for 5. 1B Miguel Andujar (.344) and RF Cal Mitchell (.268) each had an RBI. LHP Cam Alldred (4-1, 3.53) allowed three runs on six hits with eight strikeouts in six innings to earn the win.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 34-36) lost 6-5 to Harrisburg (Nationals) for the second straight night. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.264) and C Abrahan Gutierrez (.262) each homered. Gutierrez hit a two-run shot. Gonzalez hit a solo homer and also had an RBI single. DH Mason Martin (.200) was 2 for 3 and had an RBI single. 2B Liover Peguero (.270) was 0 for 5 in the leadoff spot. 3B Andres Alvarez (.221) was 2 for 4. RHP Sean Sullivan (3.75) allowed five runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts in six innings. RHP Noe Toribio (1-2, 5.13) gave up one run on two hits with a walk in two innings of relief and took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 37-33) was shut out 7-0 by Hickory (Rangers). 3B Jackson Glenn (.320) and C Wyatt Hendrie (.232) had the lone hits for the Grasshoppers. The top three batters — LF Tres Gonzalez (.256), SS Mike Jarvis (.245) and 1B Will Matthiessen (.230) combined to go 0 for 10 with four strikeouts. RHP Jaycob Deese (2-1, 4.87) started and allowed two runs on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts in three innings and took the loss.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 38-32) lost 5-1 to Clearwater (Phillies). 1B Nick Cimillo (.265) was 2 for 4. DH Josiah Sightler (.500) also went 2 for 4. LF/SS Jesus Castillo (.215) was 1 for 5 with a run scored. 2B Termarr Johnson (.237) was 0 for 5. RHP Owen Kellington (4.57) started and tossed four no-hit innings with three walks and two strikeouts. RHP Carlos Lomeli (3-2, 3.26) took the loss after allowing four runs on four hits with a walk and strikeout in 1 2/3 innings of relief.
