Pirates farm report for June 6, 2023: Henry Davis goes 0 for 2 in Triple-A debut
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 28-29) was doubled up by Omaha (Royals), 4-2, in the first game with top prospects Henry Davis and Endy Rodriguez in the lineup together. Davis, playing catcher, went 0 for 2 with a walk and a sacrifice in his first Triple-A game. Rodriguez (.247) played first base and went 0 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. 2B Nick Gonzales (.249) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. DH Miguel Andujar (.346) and CF Ryan Vilade (.271) each went 2 for 4. RF Cal Mitchell (.263) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. LHP Cam Alldred (3.58) started and went five innings, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts and no walks. RHP Yerry De Los Santos (0-5, 6.27) gave up two runs on three hits in the ninth to take the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 28-22) scored twice in the top of the ninth to beat Richmond (Giants), 6-4. C Dylan Shockley (.196) hit the go-ahead RBI single. SS Liover Peguero (.263) followed with a run-scoring double. He went 2 for 5. CF Matt Gorski (.268) went 2 for 4 with a double, triple, two runs scored and two RBIs. RF Matt Fraizer (.244) went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored. 2B Andreas Alvarez (.233) and 3B Drew Maggi (.186) each went 2 for 4. RHP Kyle Nicolas (4.35) started and allowed three runs on five hits and two walks in three innings. RHP Travis MacGregor (2.01) followed with three perfect innings with five strikeouts. LHP Tyler Samaniego (2-1, 6.10) worked a scoreless eighth to earn the win. RHP Oliver Garcia (6.05) pitched a perfect ninth for his third save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 27-23) got past Wilmington (Nationals), 2-1. LHP Anthony Solometo (2.47) started and gave up one unearned run on five hits and a walk in six innings. He fanned four. RHP Santiago Florez (4-1, 5.21) worked 1.1 scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win. LHP Cy Nielson (2.31) pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his sixth save. RF Tres Gonzalez (.227) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.299) went 1 for 4 with a double and his eighth stolen base. 1B Will Matthiessen (.250) was 1 for 2 with an RBI. 3B Shawn Ross (.333) went 1 for 3 with a run scored.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 28-24) hammered Dunedin (Blue Jays), 10-3. 2B Jack Brannigan (.246) went 3 for 5 with a double, two homers, his second and third, and six RBIs. LF Rodolfo Nolasco (.273) went 2 for 3 with a homer, his fifth, and three RBIs. DH Termarr Johnson (.260) went 0 for 1 with four walks and a run scored. RF Enmanuel Terrero (.301) went 3 for 4. RHP Owen Kellington (4.18) started and allowed two runs on four hits and two walks in three innings. RHP Owen Sharts (1-0, 7.11) gave up one run on two hits in two inning and picked up the win. RHP Carlos Lomeli (2.45) pitched two scoreless innings and RHP Brandan Bidois (4.50) and RHP Darvin Garcia (3.32) each threw a scoreless frame.
