Pirates farm report for June 6, 2025: Ronny Simon collects 2 hits in 1st game with Indy
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 33-26) lost 4-1 to Memphis (Cardinals). RF Billy Cook (.249) went 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored. LF Ronny Simon (.365) went 2 for 4 with his fifth stolen base in his Indianapolis debut after being claimed on waivers from Miami. LHP Hunter Barco (0-1, 5.40) started and lasted four innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts. RHP Burch Smith (8.10), RHP Hunter Stratton (4.66) and RHP Peter Strzelecki (11.08) combined to throw four innings of scoreless relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 24-30) and New Hampshire (Rockies) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 36-18) beat Hub City (Rangers), 2-1, in a game shortened to seven innings by rain. C Omar Alfonzo (.246) went 2 for 3 with his seventh homer. LF PJ Hilson (.236) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. DH Duce Gourson (.275) went 1 for 3 with a double. LHP Connor Wietgrefe (6.32) started and went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts. RHP Michael Walsh (3-1, 3.60) pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the win.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 26-29) clobbered Clearwater (Phillies), 13-3. LF Joel Mendez (.239) went 3 for 4 with a three-run homer, his second, and three runs scored. CF Braylon Bishop (.235) went 3 for 6 with a double, a run scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases. DH Konnor Griffin (.332) went 2 for 5 with a walk and three runs scored. SS Yordany De Los Santos (.236) went 3 for 6 with a double. RF Eddy Rodriguez (.221) went 1 for 4 with a walk, triple and two runs scored. 1B Derek Berg (.220) went 1 for 4 with a two-run homer, his fourth. RHP Peyton Stumbo (4.85) started and threw four scoreless innings, giving up three hits and striking out three. RHP Jesus Clode (4.38) and RHP Jake Shirk (3.29) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
