Pirates farm report for June 7, 2024: Jake Lamb homers in Indianapolis loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 25-34) lost 7-3 to Columbus (Guardians). 1B Jake Lamb (.316) went 2 for 3 with a double and his fourth home run. LF Gilberto Celestino (.281) went 2 for 4 with his second homer. 3B Malcom Nunez (.262) went 1 for 4 with a run scored. DH Matt Gorski (.267) went 0 for 4 for three strikeouts. LHP Nick Dombkowski (4.50) started and went 4⅔ innings. He gave up one run on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts. RHP Wily Peralta (2-2, 7.44) followed and allowed four runs on three hits and a walk in 1⅓ innings to take the loss. LHP Jose Hernandez (7.71) gave up one run on two hits in an inning.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 18-37) got past Richmond (Giants), 3-1. RHP Po-Yu Chen (1-4, 4.56) started and went eight innings, allowing four hits, including a solo home run. He struck out nine and walked one. LHP Tyler Samaniego (9.82) worked a scoreless ninth for his first save. 3B Joe Perez (.227) went 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI. C Carter Bins (.226) went 1 for 2 with an RBI and two walks. CF Sammy Siani (.253) went 1 for 4 with a run scored.

SS Termarr Johnson (.205) was 1 for 4. RF Lonnie White Jr. (.169) went 1 for 4 with a double. RHP Wilber Dotel (2-3, 6.37) started and allowed seven runs on five hits and five walks in 4⅓ innings. RHP Jaycob Deese (8.64) pitched a scoreless ninth.
