INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 16-14) handled Nashville (Brewers), 6-1. RHP James Marvel started and allowed one run on four hits in 5.2 innings with five strikeouts. RHP Wil Crowe, RHP Tyler Bashlor and RHP Braeden Ogle each pitched a scoreless inning of relief. LF Anthony Alford went 2 for 4, hit his fourth home run and stole his fourth base. C Joe Hudson and 2B T.J. Rivera also had two hits apiece. RF Bligh Madris went 1 for 5 with a triple and two RBIs. He’s hitting .321 with an .875 OPS.

Next: Wednesday at Nashville (Brewers), 8:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 19-11) rallied for a 7-6 win over Akron (Indians). RHP Roansy Contreras started and gave up three runs on six hits and two walks in 5.1 innings, striking out five. His ERA climbed to 2.18. RHP John O’Reilly pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win. The Curve played long ball late to get the W. 3b Rodolfo Castro hit a two-run shot in the seventh inning to tie the score and CF Jonah Davis hit a solo shot in the eighth to put Altoona ahead. Castro and Davis went 2 for 4. RF Cal Mitchell and LF Canaan Smith-Njigba also had two hits.

Next: Wednesday vs. Akron (Indians), 6:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 15-15) and Hickory (Rangers) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at 5 p.m. Thursday.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 19-11) and Daytona (Reds) were tied 2-2 in the fourth inning when the game was suspended due to rain. It will be completed at 5 p.m. Wednesday before a regularly scheduled game between the teams.
