INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 16-15) were held to two hits and lost to Nashville (Brewers), 9-4. RHP Steven Wright started and was tagged for six runs, all earned, in 1.1 innings, giving up six hits and walking three. SS Cole Tucker, hitting leadoff, went 1 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. 2B T.J. Rivera went 1 for 4. CF Anthony Alford went 0 for 3 with a walk and three strikeouts.

Next: Thursday at Nashville (Brewers), 8:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 20-11) defeated Akron (Indians), 14-13, in a game where the lead changed hands eight times. 2B Rodolfo Castro went 4 for 5 with four runs scored, four RBIs and his sixth home run, the go-ahead shot in the eighth. In his last five games, he’s hitting .566 with four home runs. SS Oneil Cruz, leading off, went 2 for 3 with two walks and his sixth home run. He scored three times. 1B Mason Martin went 2 for 5 with a double, triple and two RBIs. RF Cal Mitchell went 2 for 4 with a triple and four runs driven in. RHP Shea Murray pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief to get the win. He gave up two hits and fanned three.

Next: Thursday vs. Akron (Indians), 6:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 16-15) hit four home runs and routed Hickory (Rangers), 13-5. 2B Aaron Shackelford went 2 for 5 and hit his 10th, a solo shot. 1B Jesus Valdez went 2 for 4 with four RBIs, hitting a two-run blast, his fourth. RF Lolo Sanchez and 3B Jared Triolo homered in the ninth. Triolo went 2 for 3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. CF Matt Gorski went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. RHP Quinn Priester started and went 4.2 innings, allowing two unearned runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked none. His ERA is 3.86.

Next: Thursday at Hickory (Rangers), doubleheader, 5 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 20-12) split a pair of games with Daytona (Reds). In the completion of a game suspended by rain on Tuesday, Daytona won, 8-2. LHP Brayan Roman gave up four runs on six hits in three innings to take the loss. The Marauders were held to four hits. C Endy Rodriguez went 1 for 5 with a double. 2B Yoyner Fajardo went 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. Bradenton won the regularly scheduled game, 3-0. RHP Santiago Florez threw a seven-inning complete-game shutout, allowing five hits, walking none and whiffing eight. A 21-year-old from Colombia, Florez is 2-1 with a 1.17 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 30.2 innings. Rodriguez, playing first base, went 2 for 3 with his sixth home run. He’s hitting .273 with an .860 OPS.
