Pirates farm report for May 13, 2023: Matt Fraizer smacks 3 doubles in Altoona win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 17-20) took care of St. Paul (Twins), 3-1. LHP Kent Emanuel (8.15) started and went four innings, allowing one run on four hits and a walk, striking out four. Four relievers combined to shut St. Paul out the rest of the way. RHP Cody Bolton (2.03) allowed two hits and a walk but emerged unscathed. RHP Eli Villalobos (8.10) threw a scoreless frame. LHP Angel Perdomo (1-1, 2.76) worked two innings, allowing no hits, walking two and striking out two. RHP Colin Selby (3.00) threw a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his third save. C Endy Rodriguez (.250) went 1 for 2 with a walk, a run scored and his third stolen base. RF Cal Mitchell (.258) was 1 for 2 with a walk, an RBI, a run scored and his third stolen base. DH Mark Mathias (.289) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. 2B Nick Gonzales (.273) was 1 for 4 with a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 15-15) beat Akron (Guardians), 5-4. RF Matt Fraizer (.267) went 3 for 4 with three doubles and two RBIs. DH Lolo Sanchez (.192) went 1 for 4 and hit his third home run. 2B Andres Alvarez (.188) went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored. SS Liover Peguero (.229) was 1 for 5 with an RBI. RHP Kyle Nicolas (2-4, 5.12) started and went five innings, allowing one run on six hits and three walks, fanning five. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (8.25) threw two scoreless innings of relief. LHP Tyler Samaniego (3.46) worked a scoreless ninth for his second save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 20-12) was knocked around by Jersey Shore (Phillies), 9-5. RHP Bubba Chandler (2-1, 6.67) was touched up for six runs on six hits, including a homer, and two walks in 2.2 innings. He struck out three. LF Jase Bowen (.271) went 1 for 4 and hit his seventh home run, a two-run shot. DH Sammy Siani (.279) went 1 for 3 and hit his fourth homer, also a two-run shot. 3B Ernny Ordonez (.206) went 2 for 4. SS Mike Jarvis (.216) went 1 for 5 with an RBI. RHP Jaycob Deese (4.03) pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
