INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 17-19) and Toledo (Tigers) were rained out. The game will be made up as apart of a doubleheader Thursday.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 8-26) gave up two runs in the bottom of the ninth to lose 2-1 to Akron (Guardians). RHP Braxton Ashcraft (4.18) started and pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts. In the ninth, RHP Justin Meis (7.50) and RHP Cameron Junker (9.53) each gave up a run. The Curve managed three hits and struck out 10 times. 3B Kervin Pichardo (.211) hit a solo home run, his second, in the third inning. RF Sammy Siani (.190) and LF Tres Gonzalez (.221) each had a single.

Next: Wednesday at Akron (Guardians), 6:35 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 19-14) doubled up Hickory (Rangers), 4-2. LF Hudson Head (.244) went 1 for 3 with his fifth homer. RF PJ Hilson (.333) went 2 for 4 with his first homer and two RBIs. DH Termarr Johnson (.172) went 1 for 3 with an RBI and two walks. 3B Charles McAdoo (.308) went 2 for 4. RHP Wilber Dotel (2-1, 6.00) started and allowed two runs on five hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out five. LHP Dominic Perachi (0.00) came on and pitched four scoreless innings of relief to earn his first save. He gave up one hit, walked one and struck out nine.

Next: Wednesday at Hickory (Rangers), 11 a.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 16-18) beat Tampa (Rays), 4-3. RHP Domingo German (2.25) made his first appearance in the Pirates organization. He started and went four innings, allowing one run on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts. RHP Hung-Leng Chang (2-1, 1.44) gave up two runs on four hits in 3⅔ innings to pick up the win. LHP Magdiel Cotto (2.11) pitched 1⅓ scorless innings to earn his second save. LF Solomon Maguire (.271) went 1 for 3 with a three-run homer, his third. RF Sergio Campana (.429) went 3 for 4.
