INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 18-21) fell 8-3 to Toledo (Tigers). 2B Ji Hwan Bae (.345) went 2 for 4 with a double, a walk and his seventh stolen base. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.253) went 1 for 2 with a triple, two RBIs and two walks. C Henry Davis (.226) went 1 for 5 with two strikeouts. DH Jake Lamb (.356) was 1 for 5 with a run scored and two strikeouts. RHP Daulton Jeffries (9.00) started and gave up three runs on five hits in three innings. RHP Wily Peralta (1-1, 4.88) allowed two runs on three hits in two innings of relief to take the loss.

Next: Saturday vs. Toledo (Tigers), 6:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 9-28) was doubled up by Akron (Guardians), 6-3. RHP Bubba Chandler (5.84) started and faced only seven batters. He walked five of them, throwing 10 of his 33 pitches for strikes, and recorded two outs. He was charged with five runs when RHP Justin Meis (7.08) came on and gave up a grand slam to Akron 3B Dayan Frias. RHP Drake Fellows (1.64) pitched four scoreless innings of relief, fanning seven. RHP Cameron Junker (8.76) worked a scoreless eighth. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.204) went 2 for 4 and hit his fourth home run. 3B Brenden Dixon (.191) went 2 for 3 with his second homer. CF Jase Bowen (.228) went 2 for 4 with a double.

Next: Saturday at Akron (Guardians), 7:05 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 22-14) and Hickory (Rangers) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 17-20) lost 5-2 to Tampa (Rays). LF Eddy Rodriguez (.283) went 1 for 4 with his first homer. C Axiel Plaz (.500) went 2 for 4 with a solo home run, his first. SS Javier Rivas (.144) went 2 for 4. LHP Michael Kennedy (1-2, 3.71) started and went five innings, giving up two runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. LHP Hunter Furtado (5.79) gave up one unearned run on one hit with four strikeouts in two innings of relief.
