Pirates farm report for May 21, 2025: Infielder Keiner Delgado belts 3 homers for Greensboro
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 26-18) lost 3-0 to Toledo (Tigers) in a game shortened to seven innings by rain. Indianapolis was held to two hits, a double by RF Billy Cook (.205) and a single by 2B Alika Williams (.195), and struck out 10 times. LF Jack Suwinski (.258) went 0 for 3 with three strikeouts. RHP Braxton Ashcraft (3-3, 5.03) started and went six innings, allowing three runs on five hits, including two homers. He struck out nine and walked one. RHP Dauri Moreta (3.38), rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, walked one and recorded two outs before the rains came.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 20-20) and Akron (Guardians) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Friday.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 28-13) outslugged Asheville (Astros), 11-8. 3B Keiner Delgado, a 21-year-old acquired by the Pirates from the Yankees as the player to be named later in the JT Brubaker trade, went 4 for 6 with three home runs, running his season total to seven. CF Lonnie White Jr. (.244) went 4 for 5 with his seventh homer, three RBIs and two runs scored. RF Shalin Polanco (.202) went 2 for 5 with his seventh homer. 1B Esmerlyn Valdez (.303) went 1 for 5 with his 12th long ball. LHP Connor Oliver (5.14) started and allowed five runs on three hits and six walks in 2 ⅔ innings. RHP Landon Tomkins (0.98) threw two no-hit innings and RHP Michael Walsh (3.26), LHP Hunter Furtado (2-0, 7.50) and RHP Brandan Bidois (0.00) each threw a scoreless inning. Bidois got his second save.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 18-22) scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat Clearwater (Phillies), 6-2. CF Konnor Griffin (.315) went 2 for 5. DH Joel Mendez (.225) went 1 for 2 with a walk and four RBIs. RF Will Taylor (.292) went 2 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored. SS Yordany De Los Santos (.226) went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. 3B Jhonny Severino (.216) went 1 for 3 with a walk, a triple and a run scored. 1B Derek Berg (.202) went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk, a run scored and an RBI. RHP Carlos Castillo (5.02) started and went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits with three strikeouts. RHP Greiber Mendez (5.09), RHP Jose Garces (4.00) and RHP Jake Shirk (1-1, 1.66) combined to throw four scoreless innings of relief.
