C Henry Davis (.295) entered as a pinch-hitter in the top of the 10th and delivered an RBI double. 1B Matt Gorski (.277) went 1 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs. RF Matt Fraizer (.269) went 2 for 4 with his first homer and three RBIs. SS Liover Peguero (.293) went 1 for 3 with three walks and two runs scored. LHP Geronimo Franzua (1-3, 5.63) allowed two unearned runs in 1⅔ innings to take the loss. LHP Cam Alldred (6.88) started and gave up three runs on four hits, including a homer, in 3⅔ innings. RHP Brent Honeywell (6.20) pitched two scoreless innings.

RHP Eddy Yean (3-1, 3.18) worked a scoreless seventh, allowing two hits, to pick up the win. LHP Nick Dombkowski (2.12) pitched two scoreless innings to earn his first save. 1B Seth Beer (.307) went 3 for 4 and hit his second homer. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.212) went 2 for 4 with a double.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 23-18) was outslugged by Greenville (Red Sox), 14-12 in 10 innings. The Grasshoppers hit five home runs. DH Termarr Johnson (.197) went 1 for 4 with two walks and his third homer. PJ Hilson (.316) went 2 for 5 with two homers, his fourth and fifth. 1B Nick Cimillo (.316) went 2 for 4 and hit his fourth. C Geovanny Planchart (.245) went 1 for 4 and hit his third. SS Jack Brannigan (.220) went 2 for 6 with a double and an RBI. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (5.72) started and was touched up for 10 runs, nine earned, on eight hits and three walks in 2⅓ innings. RHP Brandan Bidois (0-4, 4.41) gave up two runs on two hits in the 10th to take the loss.

RHP Luigi Hernandez (1-1, 6.00) pitched 2⅔ scoreless innings, giving up one hit, to earn the win. RHP Landon Tomkins (3.44) allowed one run on two hits in 1⅓ innings to collect his fifth save.
