Pirates farm report for May 24, 2025: Jack Suwinski hits 2-run single in Indy loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 27-20) scored twice in the top of the ninth but gave up a run in the bottom of the inning to lose 5-4 to Toledo (Tigers). CF Jack Suwinski (.241) hit a game-tying two-run single in the top of the ninth. RHP Ryder Ryan (2-1, 2.89) gave up a walk-off RBI single to CF Manuel Margot to take the loss. RHP Bubba Chandler (2.27) started and went 6⅓ innings, allowing two runs on one hit and four walks with five strikeouts. RF Matt Fraizer (.250) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. 2B Nick Yorke (.261) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored. DH Darick Hall (.194) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. LF Billy Cook (.203) went 1 for 3 with his sixth stolen base and a run scored. C Endy Rodriguez (.211), rehabbing a hand injury, went 1 for 3 with two walks and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 20-23) managed three hits in a 10-0 loss to Akron (Guardians). CF Mike Jarvis (.235) went 1 or 4 with a triple. 2B Mitch Jebb (.313) and SS Jack Brannigan (.233) had singles. RHP Wilber Dotel (1-1, 3.43) started and went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Later, RHP Fineas Del Bonta-Smith (8.36) gave up seven runs on three hits, including a homer, and four walks without recording an out to turn the game into a rout. RHP Sean Sullivan (0.00) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 31-13) edged out Asheville (Astros), 2-1. SS Keiner Delgado (.268) went 1 for 3 with his eighth homer, two walks, a run scored and two RBIs. DH Javier Rivas (.311) went 2 for 4 with a double. RF PJ Hilson (.253) went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored. LHP Connor Wietgrefe (5.47) started and went five innings, giving up one run on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts. RHP Carlos Jimenez (5.03) pitched two scoreless innings. RHP Ryan Harbin (2-2, 3.93) pitched a scoreless eighth to earn the win. RHP Landon Tomkins (0.93) worked a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.
