Pirates farm report for May 25, 2025: Jesus Castillo's 4 hits help Grasshoppers edge Asheville
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 27-22) was shut out by Toledo (Tigers), 8-0. SS Nick Gonzales (.000), C Endy Rodriguez (.182) and DH Jack Suwinski (.232) combined to go 0 for 10. CF/1B Billy Cook (.206) and RF/LF Nick Yorke (.262) each had a single. LHP Randy Labaut (2-1, 5.82) took the loss after allowing five runs on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in three innings. LHP Nick Dombkowski (5.40) allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 21-24) split a doubleheader against Akron (Guardians). In Game 1, the Curve won 1-0. RF Tres Gonzalez (.260) knocked in the lone run. 2B Termarr Johnson (.264) was 1 for 3 and scored the lone run. 3B Jack Brannigan (.237) was 1 for 2 with a double. DH Nick Cimillo (.205) was 1 for 2. C Shawn Ross (.160) also had a hit. RHP Jarod Bayless (3.45) started and tossed three no-hit innings with a walk and three strikeouts. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (4-1, 3.38) earned the win after tossing two no-hit innings of relief with two walks and two strikeouts. RHP Wilkin Ramos (0.83) closed out the final two innings, allowing one hit with a walk.
In Game 2, Altoona lost 5-4. Johnson (.264) knocked in two runs with a double. RF Mike Jarvis (.241) was 1 for 1 with an RBI and a walk. RHP Jack Carey (4-0, 4.91) earned the win after giving up one run on one hit with a walk and two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings of relief.
