INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 23-25) gave Columbus (Guardians) a pretty good beating, 7-3. LF Cal Mitchell (.261) went 1 for 2 with his fifth homer and three walks. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.270) went 1 for 3 with a two-run homer, his seventh, and three RBIs. RF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.235) went 1 for 4 with a solo homer, his fifth. 2B Mark Mathias (.278) went 3 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. 3B Jared Triolo (.261) went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI. C Endy Rodriguez (.219) was 0 for 5. LHP Cam Alldred (4.18) started and went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk, striking out six. RHP Chase De Jong (1.23), LPH Ryan Borucki (2-0, 9.82) and RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (3.66) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

Next: Saturday at Columbus (Guardians), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 21-20) lost to Hartford (Rockies), 9-6. CF Matt Fraizer (.258) went 2 for 4 with a double, a home run, his third, and three RBIs. DH Matt Gorski (.240) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. SS Andres Alvarez (.206) was 2 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (7.04) worked as an opener and gave up one run on two hits in an inning. RHP Justin Meis (7.31) of Bethel Park followed and pitched four innings, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks. RHP Matt Eckelman (0-2, 5.40) recorded one out, gave up five runs on three hits and two walks, and was tagged with the loss. RHP Cameron Junker pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.

Next: Saturday vs. Hartford (Rockies), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 23-20) got past Bowling Green (Rays), 4-3, in 10 innings. 3B Mike Jarvis (.220) drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th. LHP Cy Nielson (1-0, 2.57) worked the last two innings to earn the win, allowing no runs and one hit and fanning three. DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.242) went 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI. SS Maikol Escotto (.223) went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. LF Tres Gonzalez (.273) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Jack Carey (8.03) started and gave up a run in two innings. RHP Dante Mendoza (4.03) pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 23-20) was swept by Jupiter (Marlins) in a doubleheader. In the first game, a 9-6 Marauders loss, 2B Termarr Johnson (.273) went 2 for 3 with two runs scored. DH Rodolfo Nolasco (.265) went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. SS Javier Rivas (.226) went 0 for 1 with a walk and two sacrifice flies. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (1-4, 5.47) started and gave up six runs on eight hits and two walks in 3.2 innings, but all six runs were unearned as the Maruaders made four errors. Johnson committed two of the errors.

In the second game, a 4-1 loss, the Marauders were held to three hits. 3B Jack Brannigan (.175) went 1 for 3 with his third stolen base. CF Shalin Polanco (.200) went 1 for 3 and stole his third base. Johnson also went 1 for 3. RHP JP Massey (2.62) started and went five innings, allowing one run on seven hits and a walk. He fanned four. RHP Tyler Chatwood (0.00) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings. RHP Carlos Lomeli (2-1, 3.12) gave up three runs, one earned, on three hits in two-thirds of an inning.
