INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 23-26) saw a comeback bid fall short in a 10-9 loss to Columbus (Guardians). Indianapolis trailed 8-0 after two innings but rallied to tie the score before Columbus added the decisive two runs in the bottom of the eighth. RHP Quinn Priester (4.96) was touched up for eight runs, five earned, on four hits and six walks in 1.2 innings. RHP Hunter Stratton gave up two runs on one hit and three walks in the eighth. 2B Aaron Shackelford (.269) went 1 for 4 and homered for the third straight game. He has eight for the season. DH Mark Mathias (.303) went 3 for 4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. LF Miguel Andujar (.292) went 2 for 5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. RHP Daniel Zamora (3.15) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings and RHP Eli Villalobos (6.75) threw three scoreless frames.

Next: Sunday at Columbus (Guardians), 1:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 21-21) mustered four hits and lost 6-0 to Hartford (Rockies). RF Matt Fraizer (.265) had two of the hits, including a double. LF Matt Gorski (.242) went 1 for 3 with a walk. C Henry Davis (.302) went 1 for 4. 1B Mason Martin (.209) went 0 for 3 with three strikeouts and a walk. RHP Jared Jones (2.54) started and worked 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks and striking out five. RHP Travis MacGregor (1.40) pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief. LHP Tyler Samaniego (5.09) threw two scoreless frames. RHP Oliver Garcia (3-1, 6.06) was tagged with five runs on two hits and three walks in a third of an inning, suffering the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 23-20) and Bowling Green (Rays) were rained out. The game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 24-20) beat Jupiter (Marlins), 9-0, with three pitchers combining to throw a four-hit shutout. RHP Wilber Dotel (5.00) started and allowed one hit and one walk in two innings, striking out two. RHP Derek Diamond (3-3, 4.93) came on and threw six strong innings, allowing three hits and no walks, fanning six. RHP Blake Cederlind (13.50) worked a perfect ninth with two strikeouts. 2B Deivis Nadal (.174) went 2 for 4 with a home run, his fourth. LF Shalin Polanco (.208) went 2 for 5 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. 3B Jack Brannigan (.186) went 1 for 3 with two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base. C Geovanny Planchart (.215) went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
