Pirates farm report for May 29, 2025: Jack Suwinski homers, steals 2 bases in Indy win
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 29-23) drilled Nashville (Brewers), 7-1. RF Jack Suwinski (.247) went 2 for 3 with a double, a two-run homer, his sixth, a walk and two stolen bases. C Brett Sullivan (.180) went 1 for 3 with his first homer, a two-run shot. CF Billy Cook (.220) went 2 for 5 with an RBI. 2B Nick Gonzales (.148) went 1 for 5 with a triple and a run scored. RHP Carmen Mlodzisnki (0.00) started and pitched 4⅔ scoreless innings, allowing three hits and four walks with five strikeouts. RHP Ryder Ryan (3-1, 2.70) followed with 1 ⅓ scoreless innings to earn the win. RHP Carson Fullmer (4.64) came on and threw two more scoreless innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 22-26) was swept in a doubleheader by Portland (Red Sox).
In the first game, the Curve managed three hits, all singles, in a 3-0 loss. CF Mitch Jebb (.306) and 3B Kervin Pichardo went 1 for 3 and DH Brenden DIxon (.142) went 1 for 2. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (1-4, 5.12) started and went four innings, allowing one run on a solo home run. RHP Justin Meis (3.57) gave up two runs on two hits, including a homer, in two innings. RHP Valentin Linarez (5.31) pitched a scoreless seventh.
In the second game, Altoona was outslugged, 9-6. RHP Garrett McMillan (4.26) started and went four innings, giving up five runs on seven hits, including a homer. RHP Wilkin Ramos (1-1, 1.93) allowed three runs on four hits and two walks in 1⅔ innings to take the loss. 1B Nick Cimillo (.214) went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer, his third. SS Jack BRannigan (.244) was 2 for 2 with a walk, run scored and RBI. Pichardo (.256) went 1 for 3 with a pair of RBIs.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 32-14) and Bowling Green (Red Sox) were suspended after playing six innings of the first game of a scheduled doubleheader. The suspended game will be completed before Friday’s game and the regularly scheduled game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday. Before the rains came, LF Esmerlyn Valdez (.297) went 2 for 2 with his 15th home run and RHP Antwone Kelly (3.66) pitched six innings, allowing one run on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 22-25) beat Fort Myers (Twins), 6-4. CF Will Taylor (.304) went 2 for 4 with a walk, two runs scored and his seventh stolen base. RF Eddy Rodriguez (.218) went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. 1B Ethan Lege (.268) went 2 for 4 with a run scored, RBI and his fourth stolen base. SS Konnor Griffin (.310) went 1 for 5 with his 21st stolen base. LF Braylon Bishop (.234) went 1 for 5 with a run scored, an RBI and four strikeouts. LHP Victory Cabreja (4-0, 3.58) started and lasted five innings, giving up three runs on six hits, to earn the win. RHP Jose Garces (3.43) pitched two scoreless innings. RHP Jake Shirk (2.84) gave up one run on two hits in two innings to pick up his fifth save.
