Pirates farm report for May 4, 2024: Ji Hwan Bae, hitting .404, collects 2 hits for Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 15-14) was blasted by Buffalo (Blue Jays), 9-3. LF Ji Hwan Bae (.404) went 2 for 3 with a run scored, an RBI and a walk. SS Nick Gonzales (.355) went 1 for 4 with a triple and a run scored. RF Jake Lamb (.392) went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. CG Gilberto Celestino (.281) went 2 for 3 with a run scored and his sixth stolen base. LHP Brady Feigl (2.81) started and went four innings, allowing two solo home runs, walking one and striking out three. RHP Brad Case (1-1, 9.64) came on and was tagged for six runs, five earned, on three hits and three walks in 1⅔ innings to take the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 5-21) lost its 15th game in a row, falling 5-3 to Harrisburg (Nationals). 3B Jackson Glenn (.190) went 1 for 5 with a two-run homer, his second. 1B Seth Beer (.300) went 2 for 3 with a walk. RF Tres Gonzalez (.206) went 2 for 3 with a run scored. C Wyatt Hendry (.250) went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. RHP Drake Fellows (2.25) started and went four innings, allowing one run on one hit with five strikeouts and two walks. RHP Grant Ford (3.75) followed with two scoreless innings. RHP Eddy Yean (4.40) came on and recorded one out, giving up a run on two hits and a walk. Then RHP Justin Meis (0-1, 7.20) was touched up for three runs on one hit and three walks in 1⅓ innings to take the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 15-10) got past Winston-Salem (White Sox), 5-4. SS Jack Brannigan (.205) went 1 for 5 with his fifth home run. 3B Charles McAdoo (.299) went 2 for 2 with a run scored, an RBI, a walk and his fourth stolen base. DH Mitch Jebb (.242) went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and his sixth stolen base. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (2.84) started and gave up four runs on six hits and two walks in 3⅔ innings. He struck out six. RHP Jack Carey (2-0, 1.64), LHP Cy Nielson (1.64) and RHP Brandan Bidois (4.50) combined to pitch 5⅓ innings of relief.

LHP Michael Kennedy (1-1, 3.13) started and went six innings, allowing one run on five hits, walking none and striking out eight.
