Pirates farm report for May 5, 2023: Endy Rodriguez, Nick Gonzales pound out 3 hits apiece in Indy win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 13-17) doubled up Toledo (Tigers), 6-3. C Endy Rodriguez (.279) went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases, his first of the season. 2B Nick Gonzales (.273) went 3 for 5 and stole his first base. CF Josh Palacios (.432) went 3 for 4 with a double, four RBIs and two stolen bases. RHP Luis Ortiz (2.23) started and went three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out three. LHP Cam Alldred (2-0, 5.40) allowed one run in three innings to pick up the win. He fanned five.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 12-11) mustered only three hits in a 3-1 loss to Richmond (Giants). DH Mason Martin (.220) doubled and LF Matt Frazier (.275) singled. 1B Matt Gorksi (.188) singled and later scored on a wild pitch in the fifth. CF Lolo Sanchez (.210) went 0 for 2 with two walks. RHP Aaron Shortridge (2-2, 4.91) went 5.2 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks and struck out three. RHP Cameron Junker (3.24) threw 2.1 innings of relief and allowed one hit while striking out two.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 15-10) saw a rally fall short in an 8-7 loss to Winston-Salem (White Sox). 3B Jackson Glenn (.348) went 2 for 4 with a grand slam in the ninth, his fifth homer of the year. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.300) went 2 for 4 with a double. C Luis Hernandez (.400) was 2 for 2 with two RBIs. RHP Po-Yu Chen (0-3, 7.91) started and was touched up for four runs on five hits and five walks in 3.1 innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 16-9) held on for a 7-6 victory against Tampa (Rays). CF Shalin Polanco (.211) hit a three-run home run, his third, and a double. 1B Alexander Mojica (.271) smacked a solo home run, his second, and singled. DH Jared Triolo (.333) continued his rehab with an RBI single and an RBI double. 2B Termarr Johnson (.167) went 0 for 3 with two walks, two strikeouts and a run scored. RHP Thomas Harrington (4-0, 3.65) started and went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, two walks, two home runs and five strikeouts. LHP Miguel Fulgencio (0.00) allowed one walk in a shutout seventh. LHP Julian Bosnic (2.25) allowed a two-run homer, walked two and struck out one in two innings for his third save.
