INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 64-74) beat Omaha (Royals), 5-4. RF Henry Davis (.375) went 2 for 4 as he continues to rehab a hand injury. He’s 8 for 13 with a homer and five walks during the rehab assignment. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.262) went 2 for 4 with a double, two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. 2B Nick Gonzales (.272) went 1 for 4 with a double and a stolen base. SS Chris Owings (.235) went 1 for 4 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base. RHP John O’Reilly (4.76) started and went three innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk. RHP JC Flowers (2-1, 8.23) did not allow a hit or run in two innings to pick up the win. RHP Kyle Nicolas (6.34) gave up one run in two innings to earn his second save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 65-66) jumped on Akron (Guardians) for a six-run fifth and held on for a 7-5 win. 3B Jackson Glenn (.277) opened the Curve scoring with an RBI groundout in the third. LF Andres Alvarez (.216) led off the sixth with a solo home run, his eighth. Tsung-Che Cheng (.258) went 1 for 5 with a two-run double. CF Jase Bowen (.278) went 1 for 4 and had a two-run single in the sixth. 2B Mike Jarvis (.235) drove him in with an RBI single. RHP Sean Sullivan (8-4, 3.88) allowed one run on three hits, walked three and struck out three in five innings for the win. RHP Valentin Linarez (54.00) gave up two runs on two hits, walked one and struck out one in a third of an inning. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (4.64) allowed two runs, one unearned, on three hits in two innings of work. LHP Omar Cruz (4.26) pitched one shutout inning and RHP Oliver Garcia (4.40) cleaned up after Linarez, allowing no runs in two-thirds of an inning.
