Pirates farm report for Sept. 14, 2023: Max Kranick, 4 Indy relievers throw 2-hitter
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 65-74) shut down Omaha (Royals), 4-1. Five Indiananpolis pitchers took a no-hitter into the seventh and finished with a two-hitter. RHP Max Kranick (2.79) started and went three innings, allowing no hits and one walk with one strikeouts. LHP Cam Allred (8-8, 5.20) worked two scoreless innings, allowing no hits, to pick up the win. RHP Duane Underwood Jr. (6.30) pitched a scoreless sixth. RHP Osvaldo Bido (4.25) gave up a single and two walks in the seventh but got three strikeouts and did not allow a run. RHP Dauri Moreta (12.46) allowed a solo home run in two innings and earned the save, his first. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.267) went 3 for 5 with a double, and RBI and his 20th stolen base. SS Chris Owings (.242) went 3 for 4 with a two-run homer, his 15th. 1B Malcom Nunez (.238) went 2 for 4 with his seventh homer.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 65-67) was hammered by Akron (Guardians), 7-1. LHP Nick Dombkowski (5-6, 3.71) started and allowed three runs on three hits with three walks and two strikeouts in four innings. RHP Jack Carey (27.00) gave up three runs in the fifth. RHP Noe Toribio (3.79) pitched two scoreless innings of relief. The Curve was held to four hits. 2B Andres Alvarez (.217) went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. C Eli Wilson (.276) went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. DH Jacob Gonzalez (.233) went 1 for 4 and scored a run. 3B Jackson Glenn (.276) was also 1 for 4.
