INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 70-69) gave up two runs in the top of the eighth and lost 8-7 to Toledo (Tigers). DH Brendt Citta (.266) went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer, his fourth. LF Blake Sabol (.315) was 1 for 2 with his fourth homer and three walks. 2B Josh VanMeter (.161) went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. RHP Eric Hanhold (4-4, 3.46) gave up two runs on three hits in two innings to take the loss. RHP Peter Solomon (8.10) started and allowed five runs, four earned, on hive hits and three walks in 3.2 innings.

Next: Sunday vs Toledo (Tigers), 1:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 71-65) handled Reading (Phillies), 6-1. RHP Aaron Shortridge (3-4, 4.88) started and threw seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk and striking out three. LF Connor Scott (.247) went 2 for 4 with a solo homer and a three-run shot, his sixth and seventh of the season. CF Matt Gorski went 1 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. 2B Liover Peguero (.259) was 2 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. RHP Enmanuel Mejia (5.80) pitched a scoreless inning of relief and RHP Colin Selby (2.20) allowed an unearned run in the ninth.
