INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 71-70) defeated St. Paul (Twins), 9-1. Starter RHP Cody Bolton (3.01) went three innings and allowed no runs on two hits and struck out five. RHP David Bednar (3.00) allowed one hit and struck out two in an inning of work as he continues his rehab assignment for a back injury. LHP Zach Matson (1-1, 5.30) threw two shutout innings, allowed one hit and struck out three to earn the win. RHP Travis MacGregor (3.40) allowed the only St. Paul run on three hits and struck out three in two innings. 2B Tucupita Marcano (.329) and LF Brendt Citta (.265) each smacked two-run homers in the second while SS Ji-hwan Bae (.289) hit an RBI double as Indianapolis jumped to an early lead. CF Travis Swaggerty (.263) had an RBI double in the fourth and an RBI single in the sixth. 1B Mason Martin (.214) added an RBI single in the eighth.
