Pirates farm report for Sept. 22, 2024: Ji Hwan Bae’s 4 RBIs lift Indians to victory in season finale

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 77-70) closed out the season with a 9-4 victory over St. Paul (Twins). Indianapolis batted around in the fifth inning. CF Matt Gorski (.257) and 1B Seth Beer (.272) hit back-to-back home runs. LF Ji Hwan Bae (.341) then hit a three-run homer. He also had an RBI on a fielder’s choice. C Dylan Shockley (.258) also had an RBI single. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.462) was 3 for 4 with a walk and two runs scored. RF Joshua Palacios (.291) doubled. 2B Liover Peguero (.257) was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Gorski, Beer and Shockley all had two hits. RHP Mike Burrows (1-1, 4.06) struck out 10 batters in five innings and allowed three runs on four hits in earning the win.
