Pirates farm report for Sept. 28, 2022: Endy Rodriguez hits 1st Triple-A homer in Indy’s last game

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 74-75) finished off its season with another loss to Columbus (Guardians), 11-3. C Endy Rodriguez (.455) smacked his first home run in Triple-A with a solo shot in the top of the sixth, finishing the scoring for the Indians. Over three levels, Rodriguez slashed .323/.407/.997 with 25 home runs, 95 RBIs, 92 runs scored and four stolen bases in 125 games this season. RF Travis Swaggerty (.254) walked in the first and scored on a wild pitch to give Indianapolis an early lead. RHP Mike Burrows (1-4, 5.31) started, went two-thirds of an inning and allowed six runs on five hits, one walk and one home run to take the loss. RHP Cody Bolton (3.09) pitched an inning and allowed one run on one hit, walked two and struck out one. 3B Hunter Owen (.246) hit a solo home run in the top of fifth, his first. LHP Joe Jacques (3.62) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing no hits and striking out three, and RHP Noe Toribio (6.75) allowed one hit and struck out one in his one inning of work. 2B Aaron Shackelford (.063) went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts and 1B Mason Martin (.210) went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts.
