INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 78-59) used a five-run seventh inning to edge Columbus (Guardians), 10-9. C Shawn Ross (.200) was 2 for 3, hit the game-winning home run and had four RBIs. CF Jase Bowen (.272) smacked a three-run home run. 2B Anthony Prato (.258) was 2 for 4 with a walk and run scored. RF Nelson Velazquez (.241) was 3 for 5 with a solo homer and two runs scored. DH Rafael Flores (.282) had an RBI. 1B Nick Solak (.323) and 3B Alika Williams (.266) also knocked in runs. RHP Jarod Bayless (3.24) started and allowed one hit and one walk with two strikeouts in three scoreless innings. RHP Jack Little (2-0, 3.55) earned the win after tossing two scoreless innings of relief, giving up two hits with a walk and three strikeouts. RHP Beau Burrows (5.51) picked up his third save after allowing one hit and one run with a walk and two strikeouts in two innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 68-63) locked up its first playoff berth since 2018 after beating Richmond (Giants), 4-2. The Curve will host Erie (Tigers) in the playoffs at 6 p.m. Sept. 16. SS Konnor Griffin (.322) had two hits and a walk. LF P.J. Hilson (.286) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. CF Mitch Jebb (.265) was 1 for 2 with a walk and RBI. He has 33 RBIs this season. 2B Termarr Johnson (.270) was 2 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored, including scoring on a wild pitch. LHP Blake Townsend (1.97) threw four scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. RHP Derek Diamond (1-2, 12.79) earned the win after two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit with two strikeouts. RHP Mike Walsh (2.87) earned the save after two scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits with a strikeout.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 88-43) scored a 4-1 win over Hudson Valley (Yankees). CF Will Taylor (.231) was 2 for 5 with a solo homer and two RBIs. SS Sammy Stafura (.160) was 2 for 3 with double, walk and solo home run. 2B Keiner Delgado (.243) was 1 for 4 with a walk. LF Lonnie White Jr. (.220) also had a hit. RF Shalin Polanco (.209) and 1B Callan Moss (.339) also knocked in runs. RHP Carlson Reed (4.14) started and allowed one run on three hits with five walks and five strikeouts in four innings. LHP Connor Oliver (6-2, 4.68) earned the win after tossing three scoreless innings, allowing one hit with a walk and five strikeouts.
