Pirates farm report for Sept. 9, 2025: Despite homer from Callan Moss, Greensboro drops playoff opener
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 78-60) gave up seven runs in the top of the 11th and lost 7-0 to Iowa (Cubs). RHP Ryan Harbin (1-1, 18.36) took the loss, allowing seven runs, six earned, on two hits and three walks while recording one out. RHP Brandan Bidois (0.00) pitched two scoreless innings, walking one and striking out three. Bidois has faced 64 batters without allowing a hit. 1B Nick Solak (.327) went 3 for 4 with a double. LF Sammy Siani (.236) went 2 for 4 with a walk. 2B Alika Williams (.265) went 1 for 5 with a double. CF Jase Bowen (.277) went 1 for 2 with his fourth stolen base. RHP Eddy Yean (3.20) started and allowed two hits with one walk and seven strikeouts in three scoreless innings. RHP Justin Lawrence (11.81) threw a scoreless fourth with two strikeouts before RHP Wilkin Ramos (6.97), RHP Chase Shugart (2.30) and Bidois threw two scoreless innings apiece.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 68-64) had its bats silenced in a 6-1 loss to Erie (Tigers). The Curve offense consisted of just three hits, all singles, with 11 strikeouts. 2B Termarr Johnson (.271) was 1 for 3 with a bunt single and a run scored. SS Javier Rivas (.244) and C Omar Alfonzo (.226) each went 1 for 3 with a single. RHP Po-Yu Chen (4-11, 5.73) went five innings and allowed two runs on five hits, walked one and struck out five. LHP Cy Nielson (5.26) allowed four runs on three hits and walked a pair in 1⅓ innings. RHP Valentin Linzarez (3.16) went 1⅔ shutout innings, yielded two hits and fanned a batter.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 88-43) dropped the first game of the best-of-three South Atlantic League Division Series, 4-3, to Brooklyn (Mets). RHP Khristian Curtis (0-1, 3.00) started and went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits, walking four and striking out six to take the loss. RHP Peyton Stumbo (9.00) threw two innings of relief and surrendered two runs on three hits, including a two-run homer, and struck out one. RHP Alexis Torres (0.00) fanned two in an inning of shutout ball. C Easton Carmicheal (.500) went 1 for 2 with a double in the third inning and later scored on a wild pitch. 1B Callan Moss (.500) went 2 for 4 with a single and a two-run home run. SS Sammy Stafura (.250) and 2B Keiner Delgado (.250) each went 1 for 4 with a single. LF Titus Dumitru (.000) went 0 for 3 with a walk and scored on Delgado’s home run.
