Josh Bell’s eye-opening first half hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Bell, who is among the National League leaders in batting average, runs, RBIs, doubles and homers, topped the list of NL first basemen when MLB released its initial All-Star Game voting totals Tuesday. Bell leads the NL in RBIs (58) and doubles (25). Bell had 621,915 votes, more than 160,000 ahead of the Cubs’ Anthony Rizzo (461,210).

Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman was next with 406,283.

Other Pirates appearing on the initial list: catcher Francisco Cervelli (10th, 54,395), second baseman Adam Frazier (10th, 58,785) and outfielder Melky Cabrera (13th, 135,216).

Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger led all vote-getters with 1,189,380. He and Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich (1,057,855) were the only NL players to top a million votes.
