INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 38-33) defeated Pawtucket (Red Sox), 4-3. The Indians outhit the Red Sox, 14-4, with five Indians recording two or more hits. SS Cole Tucker (.320) finished 3 for 5 with a double, RBI and a run. 2B Nick Franklin (.192) went 2 for 4 with an RBI double. LHP Tyler Lyons (4-0, 2.03) picked up the win after throwing 1 1/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts. RHP Montana DuRapau (1-1, 1.14) recorded his fifth save.

Next: Saturday at Pawtucket, 6:15 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 36-33) fell to Hartford (Rockies), 7-6. RHP Joel Cesar (1-2, 5.06) took the loss after giving up the tying and winning runs in the eighth inning. He lasted an inning with a strikeout, a walk and two hits allowed. RHP Domingo Robles (6-6, 4.05) started and went four innings with five runs surrendered on seven hits, including three homers. He struck out two and walked one. RF Bligh Madris (.260) went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer, three RBIs and a run. 2B Mitchell Tolman (.261) went 2 for 4 with a home run and two runs.

Next: Saturday at Hartford, 6:05 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 39-32) beat Tampa (Yankees), 4-3, after scoring four runs in the eighth inning. DH Raul Siri (.286) singled a run home to start Bradenton’s outburst in the eighth, followed by a wild pitch that scored 2B Rodolfo Castro (.143) and Siri to tie the game. SS Adrian Valerio (.250) capped the inning off with a sacrifice fly for the go-ahead score. RHP Shea Murray (1-0, 13.94) got the win after throwing a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts and a hit. RHP Max Kranick (4-5, 4.01) allowed three runs and nine hits in seven innings, with four strikeouts and a walk. RHP Samuel Reyes (1-3, 2.15) recorded his fourth save.

Next: Saturday vs. Tampa, 6:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 44-27) lost 3-0 to Delmarva (Orioles). The Grasshoppers were held to three hits, with 2B Ji-Hwan Bae (.293) doubling for the seventh time this season for the team’s only extra-base hit. RHP Steven Jennings (5-7, 4.98) took the loss after giving up one run in four innings with two strikeouts, a walk and four hits allowed.

Next: Saturday vs. Delmarva, 7 p.m.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short Season-A, 4-4) won 6-5 over State College (Cardinals). The Black Bears trailed 4-0 through 5 1/2 innings before scoring twice in the sixth, seventh and eighth to prevail. DH Luke Mangieri (.200) went 2 for 4 with a two-run double and a run scored. SS Victor Ngoepe (.375) was 2 for 4 with a RBI double and two runs. RHP Brandon Maurer (1-0, 0.00) picked up the win after throwing two hitless innings with five strikeouts. It was Maurer’s second appearance since being sent on a rehab assignment from Indianapolis on June 18. He was placed on the injury list April 21 for right-knee inflammation. RHP Jesus Valles (0-0, 5.40) went four innings in a no-decision, giving up three runs on six hits.

Next: Saturday vs. State College, 7:05 p.m.
