INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 31-21) lost 7-6 in 10 innings against Gwinnett (Braves). The Indians scored once in the bottom of the 10th after giving up two runs but couldn’t complete the extra-inning comeback. SS Jung-Ho Kang went 3 for 4 with a double, a walk and a strikeout. LF Corey Dickerson went 1 for 5 with a run scored. LHP Sean Keselica took the loss by allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits with one strikeout in his one inning. RHP Mitch Keller (5-0, 3.45) is the Indians’ expected starting pitcher Sunday afternoon.

Next: Sunday vs. Gwinnett (Braves), 1:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 24-28) won 4-3 over New Hampshire (Blue Jays). 3B Hunter Owen (.307) won the game on a walk-off two-run shot,his 12th home run this season. Owen finished 3 for 4 at the plate with three RBIs. LF Logan Hill (.296) went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and an RBI. RHP Angel German (2-1, 5.82) recorded the win after pitching a spotless ninth inning with three strikeouts. LHP Sean Brady (3-4, 6.04) threw 61/3 innings in a no decision with two runs allowed on five hits, two strikeouts and three walks.

Next: Sunday vs. New Hampshire, 2 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 31-23) was shutout by Tampa (Yankees), 4-0. The Marauders were outhit 10-4 with no extra-base hits. RHP Nicholas Economos (1-2, 1.89) picked up the loss despite allowing just a run in seven innings with five strikeouts and a walk.

Next: Sunday at Tampa (Yankees), 1 p.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 36-18) won 7-3 over Lakewood (Phillies). 1B Mason Martin (.264) went 2 for 4 with solo homer and two RBIs. It was Martin’s 16th home run this season. Four Grasshoppers hit doubles, and five batted in at least one run. RHP Colin Selby (2-0, 4.50) earned the win after striking out 10 batters in 61/3 innings with three runs allowed on three hits. RHP Conner Loeprich (1-2, 3.29) recorded his first save this season.

Next: Sunday vs. Lakewood (Phillies), 2 p.m.

Independent

WASHINGTON (Frontier League, 6-15) was defeated by Gateway, 9-3 in five innings. CF Saige Jenco (.286) went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs along with two runs scored. It was Jenco’s sixth double, fourth homer and 12th RBI this season. LHP Josh Lapiana (0-1, 14.21) earned the loss after allowing eight runs on ten hits in three innings.

Next: Sunday at Gateway, 6:05 p.m.
