RHP Aaron Shortridge (3-2, 3.38) threw seven scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, a walk and three hits allowed before being pulled in a no-decision. RHP Logan Stoelke (0-4, 9.00) followed and gave six runs, including the game-tying score, on five hits in 1 1/3 innings. RHP Ryan Valdes (1-2, 6.26) picked up the loss after allowing a walk-off RBI single. 3B Jesse Medrano (.219) went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. 1B Dylan Busby (.200) hit a two-run homer in the second inning. 2B Adrian Valerio also had three hits along with a RBI. GREENSBORO (Low-A, 41-23) won 5-2 in a rain-shortened seven-inning game over Hickory (Rangers). The Grasshoppers scored four of their runs in the first two innings. RHP Osvaldo Bido (7-4, 3.36) allowed two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and three walks in six innings to earn the win. RHP Will Gardner (2-0, 0.66) recorded his first save this season.
