INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 34-23) defeated Toledo (Tigers), 3-2. CF Jason Martin (.254) went 2 for 4 with an RBI single in the seventh inning to score the go-ahead run for the Indians. LHP Brandon Waddell (1-2, 6.84) recorded the win allowing a run, the tying score to make it 2-2, on a solo homer in 11/3 innings of relief with a strikeout and a walk. LHP Cam Vieaux (3-3, 4.80) struck out four, walked five and gave up a run in five innings in a no decision. LF Pablo Reyes (.239) was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. LHP Jake Brentz (0-1, 1.76) recorded his fifth save this season.

Next: Friday at Toledo, 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 27-29) was idle. LHP Sean Brady (2-4, 6.04) is the expected starter for Friday night’s game.

Next: Friday vs. Akron (Indians), 7 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 34-25) won 7-4 over Daytona (Reds). Both 1B Lucas Tancas (.287) and SS Robbie Glendinning (.327) had two hits, a double and two runs scored with Glendinning also batting in a run in the seventh inning. LF Chris Sharpe (.292) went 3 for 5 with two runs scored. RHP Nicholas Economos (2-2, 2.55) earned the win in 52/3 innings. Economos surrendered three runs on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks. RHP Nick Mears (4-2, 3.29) recorded his second save this season.

Next: Friday at Dunedin (Blue Jays), 6:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 39-20) won 3-2 over Lakewood (Phillies). DH Patrick Dorrian (.253) hit a solo home run with the score tied 1-1 in the top of the ninth inning for the go-ahead score. LF Justin Harrer (.269) followed with an RBI single, giving Greensboro the 3-1 lead. Dorrian finished 2 for 3 with a double, a home run and two runs scored. Harrer went 2 for 4 with double and an RBI. RHP Yerry De Los Santos (2-0, 2.13) recorded the victory after pitching the last two innings with a run allowed on two hits, a walk and three strikeouts. De Los Santos gave up a score on a RBI single in the bottom of the ninth before closing the game. RHP Colin Selby (2-0, 4.50) pitched the first 41/3 innings in a no decision with an unearned run scored on four hits, four walks and three strikeouts.

Next: Friday doubleheader at Lakewood, Game 1 at 5:35 p.m.

Independent

WASHINGTON (Frontier League, 9-16) beat Southern Illinois, 9-2. The Wild Things scored nine unanswered runs after giving up two to the Miners in the first inning. 1B J.J. Fernandez (.322) went 3 for 4 at the plate with a triple, a home run and three RBIs. 2B Saige Hughes (.393) was 2 for 5 with a double, a home run and three RBIs. RHP Carter Johnson (1-2, 5.60) threw three scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts, two walks and two hits en route to a victory.

Next: Friday vs. Florence, 7:05 p.m.
