Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Chris Archer cleaned up a bit before the start of spring training — he cut his dreads for a more clean-cut look.

Archer posted a short video and two photos of his new look to his Instagram page on Wednesday.

“Shout out to everyone who supported my loc [sic] process, I love y’all. Time to start over,” Archer posted. The video of the trim included the song “The First Cut Is The Deepest” by Sheryl Crow as the soundtrack.

When former Pirates outfield Andrew McCutchen cut his dreads in 2015 he also said it was time for a change.

The trucks were loaded and rolled out from PNC Park on Tuesday headed for at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Fla. Pitchers and catchers report Monday while the rest of the team report on Feb. 16. The first preseason game is Feb. 22.
