Notable: At first glance, Yordany De Los Santos’ .236 batting average with Low-A Bradenton hardly impresses. However, with some context, the 20-year-old De Los Santos can be viewed in a different light. De Los Santos, the Pirates’ No. 16 overall prospect per MLB Pipeline, has seen action with the Marauders the past two seasons, appearing in 63 total games since summer 2023. But in both partial campaigns, he didn’t quite find his swing, as he slashed .184/.322/.256 (38 games) in 2023 and .195/.300/.264 (25 games) last year. … Taking those prior struggles into account, De Los Santos appears to be finding some rhythm at the plate, as he’s slashing .236/.311/.412 with 16 doubles, six homers and 21 RBIs through 56 games this season.
