Pirates shuffle bullpen arms, call up Geoff Hartlieb
The Pittsburgh Pirates continued shuffling buillpen arms Friday, sending Montana DuRapau to Triple-A Indianapolis and calling up Geoff Hartlieb in his place.
DuRapau was called up Thursday and pitched two-thirds of an inning in an 11-8 win over Colorado that night, allowing three hits and four earned runs. He’s 0-1 with a 9.35 ERA in 14 games with the Pirates this season.
Hartlieb has been with Indianapolis since being sent down Aug. 16. He is 0-1 with an 8.65 ERA in 21 major league appearances this season.
The Pirates play the second game of a four-game series in Colorado on Friday night.
