The Paul Skenes fever continues to rise — and the blazing heat this week has nothing to do with that.

Eat’n Park announced Friday the “Bucco Stache Smileys” — a Smiley cookie with a black mustache inspired by that of the Pirates rookie pitcher’s facial hair atop yellow icing.

Skenes is 4-0 this season and has struck out 53 batters. The 6-foot-6½, 260-pound right-hander was selected by the Pirates with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2023 MLB Draft. The Pirates host the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend at PNC Park on Pittsburgh’s North Shore with games at 6:40 p.m. Friday, 4:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:35 p.m. Sunday. Skenes is scheduled to take the mound on Sunday.

The sweet treat is not available in restaurants. It is only available online at SmileyCookie.com.

The price for a dozen individually wrapped cookies is $21.99.

“We frankly just got caught up in the excitement Paul Skenes has brought to Pittsburgh and we want to celebrate with cookies commemorating his iconic look … and ours!” said Kayla Frattini, director of brand marketing at SmileyCookie.com, which ships nationwide.

Eat’n Park is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and Smiley Cookies have been a staple at its restaurants since 1986. SmileyCookie.com was established in 2006.

More than 6.4 million Smiley Cookies are made each year.
