Pittsburgh’s PNC Park came out on top for local stadium food rankings in Yelp’s new Top 50 Stadiums for Game-Day Eats list. The park also ranked high nationally.
Announced Wednesday, PNC Park made No. 2 on the list overall for “providing delicious and creative game day eats.” Acrisure Stadium took No. 27, and PPG Paints Arena came in No. 44.
Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park also placed in the top 50 at No. 10.
At PNC Park, Yelp highlighted local specialties like the Polish Cannonballs — a deep-fried ball filled with egg noodles, kielbasa, cabbage, bacon and cheddar cheese — and Primanti Bros. sandwiches. The article also shouted out PNC Park’s “classic ballpark fare.”
“PNC Park pairs stunning downtown views with a menu that celebrates Pittsburgh’s culinary scene,” Yelp said about its No. 2 stadium pick. “Wash (a Primanti Bros. sandwich) down with a local craft beer, and you’ll see why every visit feels like a celebration of Steel City pride.”
Yelp said it’s seeing three main trends in stadiums across the country:
