Pitt basketball team practices at Pitt-Greensburg

Pitt-Greensburg had some special guests in for a visit Friday.

No, they weren’t recruits; these basketball players’ recruiting days have long since passed — and they were courted at a much higher level.

But the group has plenty of game and put it on display for spectators inside Chambers Hall.

Pitt basketball coach Jeff Capel and his players ran a full-team practice at UPG. The Panthers are on a team bonding trip in the area.

UPG coach Brody Jackson said Pitt is spending the weekend at Seven Springs Resort.

“It was very cool to see how hard they work and prepare,” Jackson said. “High energy from the players and staff.”

Jackson said his team did not take part in the workout.

“I think they would be favored over us by a few points,” he said.
