Following one year with Pitt, defensive end Joey Zelinksy announced he’d be declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday.

Zelinsky transferred to Pitt in January of 2025 following three seasons (2022-24) at Eastern Michigan and one (2021) at Hudson Valley Community College.

In his lone year in a Panthers uniform, he appeared in 12 games, earning a regular spot in the rotation at defensive end.

He posted 23 tackles (4.5 for loss) with a pair of sacks and three quarterback hurries.
