Pitt’s Kyle Louis is brought down in the end zone by Syracuse’s J’Onre Reed after his interception in the first half Oct. 24, at Acrisure Stadium.

For the second time in three seasons, Pitt has placed two players on the Associated Press All-America team.

Sophomore linebacker Kyle Louis and junior all-purpose back Desmond Reid were second-team selections at their positions on the team that was revealed Monday.

Louis and Reid previously were named All-Americans by The Athletic and CBS Sports, adding to their first-team All-ACC status.

Louis recorded 96 tackles, 15 1/2 for a loss, seven sacks and four interceptions. He also had a pick on a 2-point conversion attempt.

Reid averaged 150.9 all-purpose yards per game (sixth in the nation) and was ninth in the nation with a 12.3-yard average on punt returns. He is the only player this season — and the first since Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey in 2015 — with three games of at least 100 receiving yards and 50 rushing yards.

After the 2022 season, Pitt defensive tackle Calijah Kancey and running back Israel Abanikanda were named All-Americans.

In addition, West Virginia senior offensive lineman Wyatt Milum was named to the AP second team.
