Pitt offensive line coach Dave Borbely typically doesn’t feel comfortable until he finds enough big bodies to completely fill out his two-deep depth chart.
With all five starters moving on next year after their upcoming redshirt senior seasons, Borbely must be pleased with how the 2023 recruiting class is developing.

B.J. Williams, an offensive lineman from Fairburn, Ga., revealed on Twitter his intentions to enroll next year. In Pitt’s 17-man class, he is the fifth who plays on the offensive line. He joins Phillip Daniels, Tai Ray, Colin Van Rooy and Ryan Carretta.
Williams (6-foot-4, 270 pounds) has 23 scholarship offers, including from Kansas and Syracuse. He previously had been committed to Memphis.
Pitt’s class consists entirely of three-star prospects and is ranked 31st in the nation and seventh in the ACC by Rivals.com.
