Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi and his staff were busy Sunday, serving as hosts to eight prospects and securing verbal commitments from at least three, making the Panthers’ haul of high school talent four in the past two days.

The first to publicly reveal his commitment was three-star wide receiver Camden Brown of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Brown (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) is the 79th-ranked wide receiver in the U.S. and the No. 79 overall prospect in Florida, according to Rivals.com. He is the second wide receiver in Pitt’s 10-man class of 2022, joining Addison Copeland III of Buffalo, N.Y.

Pitt is one of 17 schools to offer Brown a scholarship, including Auburn, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Virginia, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky and Navy.

Later in the day, Che Nwabuko, who can play skill positions on either side of the ball, became the second to reveal his commitment and the second in two days from Texas. The Panthers also received a pledge Saturday from defensive back Marquan Pope of Denton, Texas.

Next to make his commitment public was offensive tackle Ja’Kavion Nonar (6-7, 272).

Nonar, who attends Glade Central High School in Belle Grade, Fla., is unranked by Rivals.com and also has offers from Florida International, Delaware State and Maryland.

The commitments of Brown, Nwabuko and Nonar vaulted Pitt’s class from No. 66 in the nation to No. 48, according to Rivals rankings.
