Pitt will play Kansas State, the reigning Big 12 regular-season co-champion, in a semifinal of the Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans Fort Myers Tip-Off on Nov. 25 at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Fla.

The winner will be face either Northwestern or Bradley in the final Nov. 27. All four games, including championship and consolation, will be televised by FS1. Tipoff times will be announced at a later date.

Pitt has played Kansas State only once in history, recording a 70-47 victory in 2014 in Maui.

Kansas State is coming off consecutive 25-victory seasons for the first time in its history after finishing 25-9 last season and earning a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats lost to Iowa State in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament, 63-59, and were upset by UC Irvine in its first NCAA Tournament game, 70-64.

“Early-season tournaments with high-caliber participants provide a great opportunity to build a foundation for the season,” Pitt coach Jeff Capel said. “Coach (Bruce) Weber has an outstanding program at Kansas State and we look forward to the challenge of competing against them as we continue to build our culture here at Pitt.”
