Pitt lost two cornerbacks Monday — one a starter — when Ryland Gandy and Tamarion Crumpley announced plans to transfer.

Gandy, who was a redshirt sophomore this season, started all 13 games, finishing seventh on the team with 40 tackles. He also recorded two pass breakups and one hurry, without an interception. Prior to this season, he was a reserve and special teams player in 2022 and 2023.

Crumpley has been with the Panthers since 2021, serving as a backup the past two seasons. He played in 11 games this year and returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown against Youngstown State.

Pitt has lost 16 players to the transfer portal since the end of the regular season, including cornerbacks Gandy, Crumpley, Noah Biglow and Jaremiah Anglin. Only Gandy played significant minutes.
